Considered rare and expensive, it was one of the offerings brought to the Nativity scene by the Wise Men and has since been a traditional scent for the winter holidays.

Diptyque was founded in 1961 by three friends who had been trained at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. In 1963 Diptyque started producing a series of scented candles which soon gained world-wide fame.
