The name for The Holy Black comes from the type of powder used in the Wild West before gunpowder was introduced. The company was created in 2013 by Stefan Vincent. Stefan’s love for vintage men’s grooming was inspired by his grandfather, who opened a barbershop with his brother after moving from Italy to Brooklyn. The Holy Black products are an homage to the look, the feel, and—most importantly—the smell of barbershops in the glory days of the 1800s.
