Mitchell's Original Wool Fat Soap is made from the natural lanolin extracted from the fleece of sheep. The lanolin keeps the sheep dry, and is responsible for the soft skin on the hands of shearers and wool-classers, despite the arduous work of shearing sheep or sorting wool. The soap contains no strong synthetic scents or coloring agents and is gentle to the skin. If you have problems with soaps made from animal body fat with additives, we suggest you try Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap with its soothing lanolin. This fine soap is still made to the formula developed in the early 1900's in Bradford, the center of the English wool fleece industry.
