Over the last couple of years, many of our Chimes Ginger Chews customers have been asking us to make an organic crystallized ginger. And that we did! Our certified organic farmers harvest their ginger every fall, at its peak tenderness and flavor. We kettle-cook our organic ginger, so that it's soft to the chew, adding only organic cane sugar.
About Chimes:
In 1935, a young couple decided to open up a modest café in a town near Mt. Bromo. One day an herbalist stopped by the café and ended up giving the couple a recipe for a chewy ginger candy to help supplement their meager income. Three generations later, Chimes Ginger Chews are made by the same family in the same town! Today, Chimes employs hundreds of local villagers, and the company is proud to make a difference in the lives of their employees, their families and the community in which they live. Using the time-honored technique of stone grinding, Chimes extracts the purest ginger essence that gives its unique warming sensation.
