Product Description:

He who brings the sun comes from the Philippines to spread a message of warmth and enlightenment. His pure wisdom inspires dreams of liberation. In his golden eye, beauty, conflict, rapture and pain are reflected. Ginger and coriander supply an intelligent herbal heat, a sparkle that hints at the complex layers that lie beneath. Lime and shiso leaf create a remarkably aromatic effect, lime’s floral acidity mingling with the clarifying, anise-mint potency of shiso leaf. Yet as instantly as this initial pairing scintillates our senses, coconut surfaces to assuage and comfort our mind.

Rice is a solid yet translucent texture, it’s downy powder descending like a fine, shimmering rain that smells as refreshingly earthy as wet earth, or, more precisely, freshly boiled grains. Cardamom marks the beginning of a truly beatific interlude, it’s hot-cool sweetness heralding the arrival of a magnificent, creamy and pleasingly indolic jasmine. Cinnamon reiterates the animalic warmth that jasmine suggests, until rose de Mai clarifies this composition with it’s bright, clean, fruity essence. Tonka bean reasserts the winking humor we first experienced through ginger and coriander.

Vetiver is a humble, grounding aspect that makes us feel as if we’re barefoot in dark, rich soil. Amber’s dense, dulcet saline spirit speaks of the sea, expressing a sense of continual journey. Leather is a fragment, a slip of hard worn, yet fragrant fabric protecting the inspiring pilgrim as he travels. Castoreum is a small, subtle illustration of a body without modification, a being that cosmetically unadorned and pure in spirit. Fils de Dieu is an emotional fragrance, a scent that expresses the beauty of a generous, untainted soul.

(ginger, coriander leaves, lime, shiso, coconut JE, rice, cardamom JE, jasmine, cinnamon, may rose, tonka bean, vetiver, musk, amber, leather, castoreum)

Lovely but Light I adore ELdO Perfumes and have literally tried every single one as was my goal This particular scent is very light and sadly does not stay with you all day You will need to reapply but it has a fresh clean scent with a hint of lemongrass on my skin Perfect for summertime

Mixed feelings The description listed by the company is actually pretty spot on You look at that long list of notes and yes They are all there Complex The primary notes that stand out to me are neroli rice water and cream Definitely coconut rice pudding I donx27t think I want to smell this all day in fact it gives me a slight headache after a few minutes If a unique and sweet gourmand is your style I would highly recommend this I wish the rice was more prominent as it is a very interesting addition Less coconut would make it more refined more mature
