"As the receiving manager, I check in every product we sell on Smallflower.com. And since we carry over 13,000 unique products, I have to open up a lot of boxes. And when I say, “a lot of boxes,” I mean, a LOT of boxes. My hands pay a heavy toll dealing with rough cardboard all day. On top of that, our business is based in Chicago, and though I love the Windy City, the wind blows cold and dry. There have been days where I’ve looked down at my poor cracked palms and wondered if they were molting. As much as I dislike my hands feeling like sandpaper, I find most hand lotions just make my day-to-day activities frustrating. It’s hard to type when my hands feel greasy or creamy."
