Jeffrey discusses the benefits of Swedish Bitters, a famous combination of 11 herbs in an alcohol base that was popularized last century by the Austrian folk herbalist, Maria Treben, in her best-selling book, Health Through God's Pharmacy.
For centuries, Europeans have used herbal tonics as a regular part of their health and dietary regimens. The most famous of such tonics is Swedish Bitters, a combination of 11 herbs in an alcohol base that was popularized last century by the Austrian folk herbalist, Maria Treben, in her best-selling book, Health Through God’s Pharmacy. Treben promotes the use of Swedish Bitters to treat a wide variety of illnesses and conditions, as well as to regulate digestion and support detoxification for general health. Dr. Theiss Swedish Bitters by Naturwaren from Germany is renowned for its quality and faithfulness to the original formula.

Gentle and Effective by Fiorenza from TXAge: 26-34Gender: Female Used Product For: 4-6 months
I usually purchase Natureworks Swedish Bitters, but I may switch to this product permanently. I was put off initially by the fact that this product publishes the Treben ingredients list with no clarifying information regarding the ambiguous ingredient referred to as theriac. I like to know what I'm ingesting! However, I have found this product to be a good gentle laxative and tonic for indigestion. It has a very mild expectorant action too, which is useful for my allergies and during cold season. I find bitters really helps with my occasional food intolerance without being too hard on my body.
