First founded in 1221 in Florence by Dominican friars creating herbal remedies to use in their monastery, Officinia Profumo Farmaceutica de Santa Maria Novella is one of the world's oldest standing pharmacies. Santa Maria Novella specializes in luxury bath and body products, as well as divine colognes still true to their centuries-old formulations. Some of their most sought-after creations include rich hand and foot creams, aromatic potpourri (still fermented in terracotta jars as it was 800 years ago!), and fragrant bath soaps. Triple milled, each exquisite bar is crafted using 19th century equipment, hand molded and aged for 60 days in ventilated cabinets, and then wrapped by hand. Featuring a unique shape this bar is perfect for the bath, as the gentle curve of the bar prevents the soap from slipping through your fingers. The all-natural whole milk formula is infused with the classic Florentine scent of pomegranate oil for a lather that is rich, gentle and softly moisturizing.
