About Bluebell Eau de Toilette:
Created in 1978, this floral classic is perpetually in style. The purest distillation of bluebell woods, Bluebell is a dewy, woodsy beauty.

The citrus that populates the top of this fragrance is relatively subdued, existing mainly to highlight forthcoming elements. Like sunlight through rain speckled boughs, citrus illuminates a forest floor of flowers.

Hyacinth opens with vigor: its mineralic texture is akin to a bolt of raw, unpolished metal bursting forth from deep within the earth, which blooms into a sweet, silvery soprano.

Jasmine is richer, it's buoyant ripeness barely masking a unctuous, indolic intensity that makes this bluebell forest throb with invisible passionately.

Cyclamen smells pure, a waterfall of light, crisp aquatic notes that cascade gently into the throaty, red lipped alto of rose.

Rose sits on the opposite end of the synesthetic spectrum: while hyacinth, jasmine and cyclamen all register in cooler shades of blues and greens, rose is hot, and pulsing with a spicy urgency. Shadowed by a dense, luxurious canopy of camphoric clove, rose glimmers, a fire that burns deep within and endows this fragrance with heart. Rose ensures Bluebell is more than just a pretty picture, cinnamon and galbanum intertwine, the ultimate conflation of the two sides of this scent.

Galbanum represents the dewy, verdant and still picture of a forest floor made up entirely of perfect, petite blue flowers: cinnamon replicates the emotional tingle this vision conjures.

Fresh yet rich, Bluebell is an anomalous floral that replicates the otherworldly fragrance of this eponymous flower. Sophisticated yet playful, Bluebell instantly was and always will be a classic.

Notes: Citrus, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Cyclamen, Rose, Galbanum, Clove, Cinnamon.

About Penhaligon's:

Fragrance is liquid emotion. It unlocks memories and opens doors; it can stop us in our tracks, lost somewhere for a moment in time. Recollections triggered by a dusting of iris, a whisper of clove, a burst of juicy nectarine, a trail of smoky incense, a creamy lick of vanilla. For more than 135 years, Penhaligon's has understood the emotive power of scent. Their fragrant adventure began in the Edwardian era of decadence and carries into the future as they continually create original scents for the discerning eccentrics of today - true modern dandies and bold women who are proud to go their own way. Today, their scents are still made in England using the finest rare ingredients - from hand squeezed bergamot, to jasmine at twice the price of gold.
