About English Fern Eau de Toilette:
Created for Anglomaniacs and seekers of androgynous, iconoclastic scents, English Fern, originally formulated in 1910, is a richly spiced, verdant scent that oozes confidence. A finely balanced fougere, it projects a well-groomed image in an classically outre form.

Geranium, that delightfully bewitching conundrum, shimmers and shines at the outset of English Fern, as spicy as it is luminous.

Illustrating the softer side of this fragrance, lavender gently moderates boisterous geranium, mopping its fervent brow with its cool, silken powder. Lavender is a dusty chill, a plush herbal presence that appears as soft, purple cloud of padding around English Fern's most potentent elements.

Clove emerges, a dank, camphoric force through which geranium shines and lavender sizzles.

Patchouli contains an improbably ripe, green sweetness within its own smoldering, dry issue, mirroring geranium and lavender through clove.

Similarly, sandalwood is split between a soft externality and firm interior, the verdant powder of this wood a brief, downy reprieve before a searing solidity emerges as sandalwood's dominant aspect.

Oakmoss is the ultimate Janus, a two-sided enigma that is simultaneous porous and wispy even as it is satin smooth and rich.

Due to it's dichotomous charms, English Fern never grows old, entrancing us with its shapeshifting magic. As flexible as it is definitive, this scent is a well-dressed investigation to occupy both sides of the coin.

Notes: Geranium, Lavender, Clove, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Oakmoss.

About Penhaligon's:

Fragrance is liquid emotion. It unlocks memories and opens doors; it can stop us in our tracks, lost somewhere for a moment in time. Recollections triggered by a dusting of iris, a whisper of clove, a burst of juicy nectarine, a trail of smoky incense, a creamy lick of vanilla. For more than 135 years, Penhaligon's has understood the emotive power of scent. Their fragrant adventure began in the Edwardian era of decadence and carries into the future as they continually create original scents for the discerning eccentrics of today - true modern dandies and bold women who are proud to go their own way. Today, their scents are still made in England using the finest rare ingredients - from hand squeezed bergamot, to jasmine at twice the price of gold.

English Fern is amazing I bought this sample a couple weeks ago but just got around to using it and it is excellent juice At first application it is reminiscent of Pinaud Clubmanwhich is not at all a bad thing for me but it is more green and natural smelling The sillage isnx27t the greatest but it is a very fresh tasteful scent that I plan to buy in bottle size soon
