"If you are familiar with patchouli oils, you know they can have a lot of variation in scent. I wasn't sure what to expect from Outremer. This patchouli oil is on the more refined end of the spectrum. It doesn't have the musty, clay-like odor, or any bitter, herbal qualities. It starts out pleasantly woody and earthy with a dusty texture. After it sits awhile on skin, it develops a smoother, softer, sweeter scent. Warm, powdery, and chocolaty. A great and affordable option."
