"Back in the summer of 1984 while living in Monterey, CA I first encountered 4711. 1984 and 1985 were especially nice summers in the Monterey Bay area and the bright citrus (more lime than lemon) scent of 4711 will forever evoke sunny days sitting on the beach in Pacific Grove reading Steinbeck, or nights listening to jazz at the Fog Bank Saloon (RIP FBS). Whether you choose the aftershave, or spray bottle cologne variant (both have a similar silage) you get the same fresh summer scent."

My favorite scent ever! Wish it lasted longer, though.

"One of my top two favorite scents of all time is orange blossom (the other being osmanthus) and this smells exactly like it, with a hint of other citrus. It's the perfect clean, fresh scent that would work for both men and women. I accidentally bought the splash first, which lasts all of 5 seconds, so I purchased 2 bottles of the cologne a few days later. I'm going to buy a smaller bottle to carry in my purse to use when I want to freshen up. It doesn't last super long, however, so know that going in. I would love if they made a perfume oil version of this. This plus the matching soap would be a great gift and probably well-received by almost anyone as it's so universal."
