Classic Japanese Craftsmanship

Meticulously crafted from Tsuge Boxwood and handmade in Japan, these combs redefine precision in parting and sectioning, instantly elevating your style to sleek sophistication. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these combs are a paragon of functionality. Whether combing, backcombing, teasing, or massaging, they outshine plastic alternatives by preventing static and minimizing hair breakage. Wooden combs prove their worth by safeguarding against static and hair breakage.

Preserve the elegance of your Tsuge Boxwood Combs with a meticulous maintenance routine—a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern hair care essentials. Elevate your styling experience with these exquisite tools. Handcrafted in Japan.

Satsuma tsuge - Satsuma-tsuge (also known as Tsuge) is a high-quality boxwood found in Japan's Ibusuki area of Kagoshima Prefecture. Boxwood is easily shaped, hard, polished, and often used to craft combs. Furthermore, the wood allows paint to show up well, is not easily breakable, and develops into a distinct color with age.

Directions

Section and comb hair as you would with any other combs.

Maintenance: The key to maintaining the beauty and functionality of these combs lies in a simple ritual. Weekly, apply a drop of Chidoriya's original pure camellia oil, gently warmed between your hands, to ensure proper care. Ditch soap and water for cleaning; instead, rely on pure vegetable oils like Chidoriya's Original Pure Camellia Oil or Raw Camellia Japonica Oil. A toothbrush with camellia oil can be gently used for a more thorough cleanse.
