It glides on silky smooth like their regular balms but it's formulated it to be extra thick and creamy for longer staying power while out in those shining rays! Yes, many swipes will indeed give your lips a whiteish tint. This shows that the zinc barrier is present and that is good. If your lips aren't slightly whitened, they are not protected. There is no GRAS approved sunscreen that is clear!
