About Amyris Homme Eau de Toilette: With its head in Jamaica, and its heart in Florence, Amyris Homme evokes the space between the flamboyant sun and the vibrating earth. A dream-like exploration of both places, Amyris Homme conjures images of land defined by water, and the existential, romantic ruminations both places evoke. This scent is centered upon amyris, a tree born under the Jamaican sun and iris, the subtlest of Florentine flowers. Together, they instantly kindle an inextinguishable fire.

Rosemary imparts a ripe, bittersweet floral texture, (like a rich amaro, taken after a meal) an apt expression of the light (amyris) versus dark (iris), contradictory core of this scent. Mandarin provides another dualistic infusion; luminous nectar is bright yet richly spiced and long lasting in its effects, a tangy effect that when paired with rosemary is slightly reminiscent of fresh sorrel juice.

Amyris is an enigmatic quality, a magical flower--with fragrant, wooden petals. Amyris is a hybrid of light flowers and white woods, and iris is similarly chimeric; exuding a dusky, buttery quality, iris' scent lies somewhere between the vanity and pasticcheria. Tonka bean absolute is a finishing touch, that makes Amyris Homme sizzle and sparkle.

Like a sunset (against Florentine marble or Jamaican sands), Amyris Homme is aglow with a mixture of hot and cool textures. Simultaneously aromatic and aquatic, woodsy and floral, this scent marries of multiple, classically masculine fragrance forms. Simple elegance.
