Premium Loose Herbs
Common Club Moss - (Lycopodium clavatum) as a vascular plant is technically not a moss. It is a low, creeping evergreen shrub with stems up to 10 feet long and 3 or 4 inches high, native to open forest areas and rocky high altitudes all throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Club Moss is known as a traditional folk remedy in Europe, and is featured prominently in famed Austrian herbalist Maria Treben’s book, Health Through God’s Pharmacy. Dried Club Moss can be steeped for a mildly bitter tea, or used for tinctures and topical applications.
Common names: Ground Pine, Creeping Cedar, Running Pine, Stag’s Horn Moss
