Sitting in a warm, herbal bath is known to be very helpful for women after childbirth. It may also be very soothing for a much wider range of issues including: vaginal or anal fissures, bladder or prostate infections, hemorrhoids or genital herpes. Our Sitz bath recipe includes five different herbs traditionally used for calming and protecting the skin.
As we continue to improve our loose herb and tea packaging, you may receive a canister with either label pictured above.witch hazel, comfrey leaves, calendula, plantain, shepherd's purse
Use one cup of herb mixture per two quarts of water. Boil water and pour over herbs. Steep for 15 to 20 minutes. Pour into bathtub for a shallow soak, or use a sitz tub. Bath water should be very warm, but not so hot that it burns the skin.
