Although it is native to northern Europe, it is now commonly found in the dry areas of Europe, America, and Asia. The essential oil is produced from most parts of the plant, including leaves, branches, and berries. The berries yield the highest quality essential oil. Juniper Berry Essential Oil is steam distilled from the crushed, dried berries. The color of its oil is clear to light yellow. It has a sweet, fresh, fruity, balsam like scent.
